More about our forest school & outdoor spaceEYFS-based curriculum
Together with Loris Malaguzzi, we believe there are three teachers in a child's early learning: you as a parent, other children, and the environment. That is why we pay great attention to our classroom setups, which purely follow children's interests and fascinations.
Our teachers are there to observe, mentor, and guide children in their discoveries and conclusions, as well as provoke learning through setting up exciting provocations and invitations to learning.
Through these early years, your child will follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS), which provides a flexible and stimulating development programme tailored to your child's unique individual needs.
There are five principles that underpin our curriculum.
1. Contribution
We want children to be active members of our classroom routines, decision-making, and able to contribute to their learning by sharing their interests and fascinations with us.
2. Communication
We want our children to be powerful communicators, able to express their opinions and wants, as well as care for others.
3. Belonging
We want our children to have a strong sense of belonging that will develop a sense of safety and confidence. We want them to know that they are unique and special.
4. Exploration
We want our children to be free to explore our indoor and outdoor environments and draw their conclusions and speculations. We want them to ask powerful questions and learn something new each day.
5. Well-being
We want our children to be healthy inside and out. We want them to be aware of what contributes to their well-being and a healthy lifestyle.
